Handyman vs. Professional Plumber

A professional plumber usually costs more than a handyman, is it worth it?  Yes!  Here is why:

1.  A plumber is trained specifically on plumbing.  A handyman works on anything and everything.
2.  A plumber must have a license or work under someone who does.  A handyman does not need to have a license.
3.  A plumber has tools and equipment specifically required to help service their customer's plumbing problems.  A handyman uses whatever he has.
4.  It is actually less expensive and quicker to have a trained specialist do the job correct the first time then to have a generalist work on the plumbing problem.

Remember, you get what you pay for.

Our Customers and Friends the Brandmeiers

Today we would like to write about one of our customers, the Brandmeier family.  Brad and Judy Brandmeier lost their son, Craig, to cancer this past Saturday.  Brad and Judy are the extraordinarily wonderful parents to four grown sons, and a true inspiration for those of us raising children today.
Brad and Judy supported Craig and his wife, Kat, during Craig's very difficult and painful battle with cancer.  Brad and Judy did everything from organizing a golf benefit to help pay for some of the medical bills, to organizing a bone marrow drive, adding many new donors to the bone marrow pool for cancer patients.  Their wonderful parenting showed in the way Craig handled his illness.  Craig never gave up fighting; his sense of humor and caring for others is a tribute to how Brad and Judy raised their sons while running the family business, Beacon Printing.
The family, already close, became even closer during Craig's illness.  Brad, Judy, and their sons spent a lot of time in Portland where Craig and Kat lived; helping Craig while Kat was at work.  One brother, Rick, gave his bone marrow to Craig as a partial match donor.  In today's busy hectic life, the Brandmeier family reminds us what is really important, family and supporting others.
Thank you Brandmeiers.  We love you, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  This is not the end for Craig, but the beginning of a new life without pain and suffering.  Craig and the lessons he taught us will always be remembered.
